Great prime minister of India , respected shri dr manmohan singh today slammed anna hazare. Conceding that anna is inspired by higher ideals (last thing to expect from politicians) , dr manmohan singh said that anna's path is not correct and right to make laws lies with parliament.
True . Dr Manmohan singh is right. In democracy we as citizen elect our representatives who in turn make laws in parliament. That right is being given to parliament of India by constitution and it is their sole right.
But who represents people?. If elections is only means of judging it then how did mahatma become father of nation or jayprakash narayan become lok neta. Why government was forced to give orders of releasing anna hazare from jail?. Why people came pouring in on streets all across India in support of anna hazare?
Anna Hazare is no more an individual. It is synonyms of something much bigger than individual or organization. He has now become symbol of stand and that stand is against corruption.
There are three kinds of people who slammed government. One who are supporters of anna hazare and jan lok pal bill. Second are not supporting everything which anna did or proposes. They have objection to jan lok pal bill but do support his right to dharnas while there is third lot who oppose jan lok pal bill but are supporter of his fundamental right to oppose and dharna.
Anna Hazare represents outrage of people , their frustration , their aspiration , their desire of better governance and basic need of corrupt free India. In that terms today anna represents Indian more than esteemed people sitting in parliament.
With due respect to parliament , I agree with Mr Prime Minister that we need to protect institutes and nurture it but what happens when parliamentarians dont see writing on the wall? . It took 40 plus years and lot of mass building to get lok pal bill tabled and now it shows sign of getting passed but is this government lok pal bill any different than 29 other laws to curb corruption. Have those laws made any difference Mr Prime Minister?.
Answer is for all to see. I understand people of India voted for you but what for?. To see one scam after another being churned out or for representing true aspirations of people?. If you wish and want to strengthen our institutes ,which I am sure every one wants , what we need is decisive actions , stronger laws and zero tolerance policy of corrupts in parliament. To we get that there would be more and more anna hazare reaching out to jan sabha then lok sabha!!!!!!!
Personally I believe time has come that civil society with likes of anna hazare, arvind kejriwal,kiran bedi , a p j abdul kalam , narayan murthy stand of elections. We need alternative ,not just of congress but all political parties. These guys should enter politics and transform India.
